Submitted. The Provincial Eating Disorders Awareness (PEDAW) campaign invites amateur photographers from Abbotsford to participate in a Province-wide photo contest.

PEDAW is searching for photos that capture the campaign’s subtheme, Perfect is Boring, and showcase the beauty of imperfections. All photos will be displayed on the Love Our Bodies, Love Ourselves blog.

Amy Pezzente, Coordinator for PEDAW said via email: “I’m so excited for this contest! I think it has the potential to challenge perfectionism and the standards of real beauty. I love that the contest is held during the Summer when days are longer, people are traveling, and the sun is shining. I truly believe that there is no such thing as ‘perfect,’ and with this contest we hope you can realize it too. Perfect is boring!”

The top three winners will receive official Love our Bodies, Love Ourselves wristbands and Perfect is Boring t-shirts. Deadline for submissions is August 31.

For more information or to submit photos, email pedaw@mail.com. Full contest information is available here.
