Submitted. A look at preliminary figures for the next budget and school year is projecting a slight decline in enrolments, down 135 students from this year, Secretary-Treasurer Ray Velestuk reported to the Board. Total operating budget for 2014-15 is forecast at $168 million, a decline of $2.4 million from the current year operating budget.
The Board held two public information meetings in March
and April, and must approve a final budget for 2014-15 by
the end of May. The fiscal year for all school districts in BC
commences July 1st.
