The Maguson Ford Mariners Football Club is holding its summer and fall registration as of Sunday. Earybird registration ends May 31; Regular ends June 30 and Late ends August 31.

Grassroots I

Super 8’s – Selects: U10-U12 (’02 – ’04 born)
Season duration: Sept-Mar
The Super 8’s Selects Team program is for pre-identified, advanced players within the U10 – U12 age groups. All Super 8’s Selects Teams will have an appointed staff coach, who will coach all team training & games programming. Players selected to this program will pay the applicable club registration fee (above) plus an additional development fee to cover staff coaching costs. (Fee TBA)
Super 8’s – Recreational: U11-U12 (’02 – ’03 born)
The Super 8’s Recreational Team program is for all players within the age group, outside of the Selects program.
All Super 8’s Recreational Teams will have an appointed volunteer coach, who will coach all team training & games programming.
Players looking for additional development opportunities are encouraged to enrol with the Jnr Club Academy.
Divisional Teams: U13-U18 (’96-’01 born)
All returning players in the respective age groups registering with the club will be placed within the appropriate Divisional Team program.
Team lists will be posted to the web site sometime in mid-May.
Senior Teams Program
The Senior Team program consists of Men’s & Women’s teams with varying levels of competition.
Our Women’s program is part of the Metro Women’s Soccer League (MWSL) and our Men’s program is part of the Fraser Valley Soccer League (FVSL)
U21 (’93-’95): Ideal for players who may have graduated High School and who are looking to continue their involvement with the game at a local level.
Men & Women: For local and College/University players, who wish to play at the highest level of senior competition, in the region.

Academies
There are 3 Academy categories that MFMFC is supporting in 2013/14.
In-House: Age-specific MFMFC Club based players.
Affiliate: Indo-Pacific Soccer Academy (IPSA)
District: Fraser Valley FC – Prospects & Selects.
In-House:
The Club is delighted to provide a range of age-specific & position specific (GK) Academy programs. Each Academy is based upon a ‘user-pay’ basis which supports the on-going commitment of the players and their development. The technical training curriculum will be based on a combination of individual & cooperative group work, utilizing small sided games and practices. Some Physical/SAQ elements will be included in all Academy sessions.
Jnr Academy (U10-U12)
This is the new name for our previous ‘Selects Academy’
Designed for all players (’02-’04), who possess the desire and ambition to improve their technical and physical proficiency.
Player Academy (U13-U16)
Designed for all players (’98 – ’01), who may be looking to increase their opportunity to move into higher levels of play, with greater fitness and detailed technical instruction.
GK Academy (U10-U18)
Position specific tips and instruction, for GK’s of all ages. All areas of goalkeeping are included in the program, including handling, shot-stopping, foot work, positioning, and distribution (throwing & kicking).

District Academies.
Working in collaboration with our District partner clubs, MFMFC is delighted to support the Academy programs of Fraser Valley FC.
Fraser Valley FC – Prospects Academy (U10-U12)
For male & female players (’02 – ’04), who show a desire, commitment and passion for the game. Club players will be nominated for this monthly program. Training sessions may be at various locations within the District.
Fraser Valley FC – Selects Academy (U13-U14)
This is a FVFC Selects only program. Divisional Club players will need to receive an invitation to attend any of these sessions.
All Academy Schedules will be set after the field allocations have been received – Jun/Jly.
