Two young Abbotsford curlers are off to the provincial Curl BC Playdowns as a result of their performance at the Coquitlam curling club last weekend.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday saw junior curlers from both Coastal and Vancouver Island zones battle for qualification to the provincial through three days of competition. ‘Team Parker’, skipped by Nick Parker of Abbotsford, did it the hard way by having to make the final shot for 2 points and the win. This earned them the last qualifying spot for provincials after 5 long games.
Team Parker is made up of:
Nick Parker, 17 – Skip (Abbotsford)
Jordan Kiss, 18 – Vice Skip/Lead (Abbotsford)
Dylan Heimburger, 19 – Third (Langley)
Maxime Langlais, 18 – Second (North Vancouver)
Vice Skip/Lead Jordan Kiss
The provincials are being held in Chilliwack at the Chilliwack Curling Club from December 26 – 31.
