Submitted. Opening Nite Theatre’s first annual Writers’ Festival, happening June 20-29, features two special events during its run. First off is Dinner and a Show.

The English Tarts on First Avenue will be opening specially on Friday June 27 to host a dinner, doors opening at 6:30 pm, and afterwards patrons can stroll down the street to take in the three new short plays on offer at Opening Nite Theatre.
Tickets for the Dinner and Show are $35, and as seating at the English Tarts is limited, it is recommended that those interested book now. To get Dinner and Show tickets, email openingnitetheatre@hotmail.com.
The second special event will be a Q and A with the actors and writer of ‘Plan B’ will be held immediately following the Saturday, June 28th show. This play deals with the topical issue of the right to die well, to die with dignity. Complimentary beverages and appies will also be available, and a door prize will be drawn. The Writers Festival features three new short plays by local authors. Plan B, by Mahara Sinclaire, The Gift, by Randy Holmes and Effective Tomorrow by Camille Atebe. Opening Nite Theatre is located at 33223 Railway Avenue in Mission, and is a not-for-profit theatre group which has been bringing professional-quality theatre to the Fraser Valley for more than 20 years.
