From Kristy Kieler – Stylist/Owner Fusion Hair Design & Esthetics I own a business downtown but yet I was Switzerland on this one. I support helping our community grow positively and business are only as good as they do business. I’m sad for the fact it’s only that much longer, that much more negative energy and that much more money to find a solution. Everyone including the businesses downtown can pull together and realize the more we help these people the more we have a chance that maybe a small percentage of them will become strong supporters of our community. People that have been given a chance and make it are that much more inclined to touch others that are need and this will spread the more love and support they are given. Human nature. I am not saying all of them have that ability. As for business and mayors decision well… He also works for the people and the tax payers. He has to create a balance. So instead of blame anger and bad energy take all of that and help come up with ideas on how we can help this world wide problem. Shutting down riverside hospital was probably one of the biggest factors. How about the city stops with all these motions and meetings and hire some major professionals in this field. Put a long term sustainable plan together where the community has a chance to be supportive and possibly even help with it. Between my aunt who has run a mission in the east side for over 30 years and a client who has set up programs around the world. I have heard and seen first hand. It’s not an easy solution. It’s as important as a Rec Center, is it not? It takes planning, experts, statistics and community support to have success. For some reason this Town is divided. We need to support growth and change here in Abby. Change never killed nobody and just helps us grow even if it was a mistake.
