Cascades Volleyball Headed To Playoffs In Cranbrook

The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades men’s and women’s volleyball programs are headed to the 2013 PACWEST Conference playoffs to be hosted by the COTR Avalanche, in Cranbrook, BC. The playoffs commence this Thursday, February 21st and run through Saturday, February 23rd. The top six teams earn post season berths, with the top two teams earning a bye on day one.

The Cascades women’s volleyball team won the 2013 PACWEST regular season championship with a school record 22-2 record. They will play their first post season game on Friday (February 22nd) against the winner of the #4 Capilano University Blues/#5 Camosun College Chargers game, in one of two semi-final games.

The men’s volleyball team won their final four games and five of their last nine to earn the sixth and final playoff spot, they will face #3 Camosun College Chargers, on Thursday, February 21st in one of two quarterfinal games.

The games will be broadcast live via PACWEST Conference web site at www.pacwestbc.ca
