Cooper Blesses the Faithful

By Darryl Andrews. Guillotines, Straight jackets, electrocutions, a live python, vampire guitarists and pyro amid classic rock songs spanning over 40 plus years generally describes the Alice Cooper traveling horror show fans at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Complex were treated to this past Thursday evening.

The undead rock legend is touring across Canada on his “Raise the Dead” tour, but it could be better described as a career retrospective. The original performance artist recreated almost all of his famous acts in an entertaining 90 minute set filled of shtick, schlock and shock along with some straight-up classic rock anthems. There was even time for a tribute to John Lennon, Keith Moon and Jimi Hendrix.
