The Vancouver Province newspaper is reporting that Patrick Marini, a former Abbotsford pastor and missionary, has been found guilty of trying to lure a 12-year-old boy at the Abbotsford Public Library last summer.

A former Abbotsford pastor and missionary has been found guilty of attempting to lure a 12-year-old boy from a library with an offer of new shoes.

Patrick Marini, 71, was charged after an incident at the Abbotsford Public Library on George Ferguson Way on June 25, 2013.

The boy had been dropped off at the library by his mother, and was sitting on a couch in the children’s section reading comic books when he was approached by Marini.
