Gwynne Dyer At Rick Hansen Wednesday

Internationally renowned journalist and author Gwynne Dyer is coming to Abbotsford Wednesday, March 13, in order to address the students at Rick Hansen Secondary on the topic of climate wars.

WHAT: Outspoken journalist Gwynne Dyer will speak to students at Rick Hansen Secondary School on the impending “climate wars” as well as regime change in the Middle East.

When: 8:15 – 9:30 am Wednesday, March 13, 2013.

As a high-profile journalist, broadcaster and lecturer on global affairs, Gwynne Dyer’s columns appear in over 175 newspapers and 45 countries worldwide. His recent works have all topped the Globe and Mail’s best-seller list and he is a leading voice on geopolitically significant events.

Gwynne Dyer will be addressing students at Rick Hansen Secondary on a number of issues; topics will range from the impending “climate wars” to the recent protests in the Middle East that have successfully toppled autocratic regimes.

The event will be live streamed throughout the school as part of Rick Hansen’s Media Production program and will provide students with the opportunity to engage in discussion with Dyer via digital messaging. The RHSS Media Production program seeks to prepare students to engage in 21st communication technology both in a learning environment and in their future workplaces.
