Submitted. On Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at 2:00 pm a woman contacted the Abbotsford Police Department regarding a man touching and exposing himself. The woman, who was supervising children in a playground in the 33900 block of Pine Street, told police that the man was at the fence of the school and apparently looking at the children. The man left the area in a red vehicle but a license plate was obtained prior to his departure.
One Abbotsford Police Patrol Division officer attended the school while another attended the residence of the registered owner of the red vehicle. A 52 year old man matching the description provided by the witness was the sole occupant of a red vehicle that pulled into the driveway. He was arrested.
Charges of Indecent Act and Indecent Exposure have now been recommended.
The Abbotsford Police would like to commend the complainant for not only calling police when witnessing this disturbing incident but also for providing detailed and specific information that led to the quick apprehension of the suspect.
