On 6 May, 2014 at approximately 15:00 hrs. the RCMP Fraser Valley Traffic Services, Abbotsford PD, ICARS, CVSE and the BC ambulance service attended a pedestrian who was struck by a commercial vehicle on Hwy.1 in Abbotsford, BC.
East bound traffic was diverted onto exit 90 through Abbotsford past the accident scene for approximately three and half hours while Emergency personnel investigated.
The 48 year old female pedestrian has numerous broken bones and is expected to live.
Speed and Alcohol are not suspected factors of this incident.
