The proposed 2014‐2015 budget calendar identifying the consultative and information sharing process was presented.
The calendar provides target dates for staff to
complete the various steps required to bring a budget to
the Board for approval.
It tentatively provides for two
public information meetings, one in
March the second in April,
along with meetings with stakeholders.
The final budget must be approved by
the Board by June 30th, 2014.
Statement of Financial Information
The annual Statement of Financial Information (‘SOFI’)
report, for the period ending June 30, 2013 was
presented. In accordance with the School Act and the
Financial Information Act the district must prepare a SOFI
annually to be approved by the Board. It lists all
employees earning $75,000 or greater in the past year. It
will be posted on the Ministry of Education website at
www.bced.gov.bc.ca/accountability/district/sofi/welcome
