Work Day At McMillan Park

By March 23, 2015Sports, Sports News

From AAHA. It started as a miserable day at Macmillan Park, all the more so when compared to the beautiful weather we have been having.  Nevertheless, spirits were high as more than thirty volunteers, including coaches, other parents and even a few players showed up at McMillan Park to work on the Batting Cage and the Peewee/Bantam Field.

Everyone was working hard to get the Cage and Fields into shape for the coming season.New bullpen mounds were built behind the Cage and the mounds at the field were repaired as well.

Thanks to everyone who braved the elements to put in some hard work for baseball in Abbotsford, especially our amazing Fields Coordinator, Ernie Wiens.  We will be holding similar days at our other parks.  We need more parents and players to offer equipment, expertise, or even just the willingness to lend a hand.
