As Mayor Bruce Banman and most of City Council do the Christmas cocktail party circuit trying to sound like they know what the hell they’re doing, the evidence is mounting that they either don’t know or don’t care that voters are beginning to realize most of them are completely incompetent and unqualified for their jobs.

In the private sector most of them would have lost their jobs long ago if they demonstrated the level of incompetence which seems run-of-the-mill at Abbotsford City Hall.

Walter Neufeld has captured two of the most glaring examples of that incompetence which citizens drive by everyday …

Both the White Elephant on King Road at the Fortress At Jubilee Park speak volumes about the enormous amounts of money Banman and most of his council are prepared to spend on massive, incompetent blunders rather than real, workable solutions.

Walter Neufeld is known for his advocacy work as president of the FVRD Citizens Association and his work against the gravel industry lobby.

He also founded a group called ‘Men on Roofs’. The full name of the group is ‘Men on Roofs ask Canadian politicians to stop filching our democracy’ and they are sponsoring a series of politically charged images aimed at Canadian politicians.

Today Media regularly publishes his satirical vignettes.

Walter’s latest project is a group called ‘woMen on Roofs – Fools in office’

  • Deceit in Drugs says:

Yes, the unbearable cost of incompetence…

As Albert Einstein said: “you cannot fix a problem with the same thinking you used to create it.”

The city’s focus is development driven by a small group in this city and
any obstacles to development are ignored, in hopes that they’ll disappear quietly without disrupting the city’s image.

This is the same narrow minded thinking, which earned us the title of Murder/Gang/Crime capital of B.C. and Canada.

Now, our city’s mishandling of the homeless problem is plastered all over the world.

When will Mayor and Council learn that their thinking and approach
to addressing the city’s problems due to growth are not working but
    instead impeding growth and development.
